There is always a little confusion between design and art. Sometimes, some people get confused whether it is a design or an art. Yes, may be an artist or a designer knows the difference between art and design but a common man does not. There is a huge difference between both. I am not saying that design has more importance as compared to art or vice versa but both have enormous scope.

                       Design is a creative activity which motivates people to buy products or to understand the concept of or to give information about whatever they want to show whereas, an art is a human activity which expresses their emotions, their feelings and imaginations. 

                       Good art inspires and good design motivates. An art is always related to an artist's feelings, emotions, thoughts. It shows love towards the nature, towards the human emotions whereas, design is a creativity which gives a message to us, it motivates us to buy a product or it gives us information in creative manner. design gives satisfaction to human being.

                       Good art is interpreted and good design is understood. Every artist has different ideas in their mind and they express those feelings through their excellent art. That art explains many things to people but every person take it in his own different way whereas, a designer makes attractive designs for people to give them correct information through it. they makes design simple and attractive to get people attracted. 

                       Good art is a taste and good design is an opinion. every person has his own taste. Each and every art has vast and deep concept whereas, a design deals with people's opinions. No doubt the design will be very attractive but people's craziness towards those designs decides the grace of the design.

                       Good art is a talent and good design is a skill. An artist invents an art. It is innate. They grow with painting, sculpting, drawing since childhood. They have a creative mind set whereas, design is a skill because designer develops something creative from any image or objects, for that the designer should learn the software s and techniques which makes his work easy.

                        Good art sends different messages to everyone while a good design sends the same message to everyone. Every art has a different meaning but every every design shows the same information to people.   

But we have to accept the fact that art needs design and design needs art. both are complementary each other.
